Counting the Days!

The countdown is on!  I have been looking forward to Spring Break for months!  We are going camping! Woo Hoo!  The kids are so excited.  (maybe as much as me! :) ) We have only been camping once in our new camper and it was back in October.  So I can't wait til Monday.  I am so glad that warmer weather is here.  We will spend so much time camping starting this spring and ending in the fall.  It's just about my favorite thing.  We have a plan to take our kids to Disney every 3 years.  (We've been twice so far and are going back fall of 2012)  And that's really the only big vacations we've taken.  Our vacations are camping.  And I LOVE it!  We spend a week at spring break.  Then several weekends throughout the year, and also a full week in the summer.

It is one of the best things families can do together.  We love it!  It is so amazing just to be.  Not do, just be.  I'm taking 2 books and hopefully I'll be able to read at least one of them. :)

Get Along Little Doggie!

First of all, I'm bummed!  I didn't have my camera this afternoon.  But I don't know if I could have used it even if I had.  We went down to Lance's parents to help get up cows for the sale barn.  We had sooooo much fun!  This is the first time in years that I was able to help.  I've always been pregnant or had a baby to take care of.  Emma is old enough now to sit still and watch and she loved talking to the cows!

Sara and Hope were on the outside of the fence of the run and as we let cows out of the pen that weren't going into the trailor to the sale.  If the cow wouldn't run all the way down the run, the girls would run along the fence with their sticks yelling "HA!" It was hysterical!  They were so proud that they were helping.

I was helping open and shut gates to let cows and calves out of the pen.  Lance was helping seperate cows.  And Luke was in heaven!  He was getting to open up the gate to the chute, poke cows into the trailor yell at the top of his lungs at the cows.  I don't know who was having more fun.  Him or Lance!  Lance was so proud of him.

As the last cow of the night was loading into the trailor, Luke was timidly poking it in the rear to load.  Lance grabbed his hand with the stick and pushed him in.  Luke's eyes got huge! Lance said, "Get 'em Luke!" Then all the other men that were helping Lance's dad starting hollering with him!  It was like a passage to manhood.  It was soo cute!  He felt so a part of it all and felt so important.  I was a proud Momma!
